Ardent Race

The Ardent Race is a versatile performer that works well in both positions. Many riders prefer it as a rear tire paired with a more aggressive tread up front, but it is also highly capable as a front tire on hardpack or mixed-condition trails where you want to prioritize speed.

While it excels on hardpack and loose-over-hard terrain, the Ardent Race is not a dedicated mud tire. Its ramped center knobs are designed for speed, so it may struggle to clear thick, sticky mud compared to tires with wider-spaced, deeper lugs.

While it is optimized for tubeless setups to reduce weight and improve flat protection, it can be used with inner tubes. However, you will get the best performance and puncture resistance by running it tubeless.

The Ardent Race is built for cross-country racing and mixed trail conditions. It shines on fast, hard-packed dirt and loose-over-hard surfaces where you need a balance of low rolling resistance and reliable cornering grip.

The reinforced sidewall is designed to balance durability with performance. While it adds a small amount of weight compared to ultra-lightweight racing tires, it provides essential protection against cuts and abrasions on technical terrain, which is a worthwhile trade-off for most riders.
