These are designed primarily for drop-bar road or gravel bikes using handlebar tape. They may not fit standard mountain bike grips, which often have a different internal diameter or integrated lock-on systems.

You will need a standard hex key (Allen wrench) to tighten the expansion bolt. Once inserted into the bar end, simply turn the bolt until the plug feels snug and secure against the inside of the handlebar.
