This kit is designed for standard HG (Shimano HyperGlide) freehub bodies, which are the most common type found on mountain bike wheels. If your wheel uses a different standard, such as XD or Microspline, this kit will not be compatible.

The 7mm thick base is a critical design feature that distributes the chain's force over a wider area of the freehub splines. This prevents the cog from digging into and damaging your freehub body, which is a common issue with thinner, cheaper single-speed cogs.

The kit includes a variety of aluminum spacers in 10mm, 5mm, and 3mm widths. You can mix and match these spacers on either side of the cog to shift its position left or right until the chain sits perfectly straight between your front chainring and rear cog.

Yes, this kit is compatible with standard multi-speed chains, though it is optimized for 1/8" or 3/32" single-speed specific chains for better durability. If you are using a multi-speed chain, ensure your chainring is also compatible with that chain width.

Yes, the kit comes with the 13t chromoly cog, the alloy lockring, and a full set of spacers. You will only need a standard cassette lockring tool to tighten the lockring onto your freehub body.
