BikeHard C1 Derailleur Hanger

This specific hanger is designed exclusively for Carbolite Pro frames manufactured from 2011 to the present. Before purchasing, verify your frame model and year, as derailleur hangers are highly specific to frame geometry and are rarely interchangeable between brands or even different models from the same manufacturer.

The hanger is engineered to be the 'weak link' in your drivetrain. By using aluminum, the hanger is designed to bend or break during a significant impact, which effectively absorbs the force and prevents that energy from damaging your much more expensive bicycle frame.

While it is technically possible to straighten a bent aluminum hanger using a dedicated alignment tool, it is generally not recommended. Once aluminum has been bent, the metal undergoes stress fatigue, making it significantly weaker and more prone to snapping in the future; it is safer and more reliable to replace it.

This product includes the hanger itself. It does not come with the mounting bolts, as those are typically specific to the frame's dropout design and are usually reused from your existing setup.

The most common indicators are poor shifting performance, such as ghost shifting or difficulty moving between gears, even after adjusting your derailleur cables. If you notice the derailleur cage is not perfectly vertical or if you have recently experienced a crash or a strike to the rear of the bike, the hanger is likely misaligned or damaged.
