The Original Banana profile uses a rocker between your feet with camber underfoot. This design gives you the float you need in powder while keeping the contact points engaged for reliable edge hold on hardpack and icy patches.

Not at all. Magne-Traction adds serrated contact points along the edge to increase grip, which actually makes the board feel more predictable and secure on firm snow, rather than catchy or aggressive.

While the Chromatic has a directional shape, it is still very capable of riding switch. The directional design helps with turn initiation and powder float, but the sidecut and flex are balanced enough that you won't feel limited when riding backward.

A 4.5 flex rating puts this board right in the middle of the spectrum. It is soft enough to be playful and forgiving when you are learning new tricks, but stiff enough to maintain stability when you pick up speed.
