The 862C pads are specifically engineered for Shimano Ultegra, BR-RS805, and BR-RS505 braking systems. Before purchasing, verify your brake caliper model number, which is typically stamped on the caliper body itself.

Choose organic if you prioritize a quiet ride and a softer, more responsive feel for everyday road cycling. Opt for the sintered compound if you frequently ride in wet, muddy conditions or tackle long, aggressive descents where heat management and pad longevity are critical.

While it is physically possible, it is not recommended. If you switch compounds, you should ideally install new rotors or thoroughly clean and bed-in the rotors to prevent contamination and ensure consistent braking performance.

These pads are designed as a direct replacement for your existing system. They typically include the pad material and the backing plate, but you should reuse your existing pad retaining pin or spring clip from your current setup.

Lifespan varies significantly based on your riding style, local terrain, and weather conditions. Sintered pads generally offer greater durability in harsh, gritty environments, while organic pads may wear faster but provide a more consistent feel.
