Slip-on grips can be tight, but they are manageable. Using a small amount of isopropyl alcohol or compressed air during installation helps them slide onto the handlebar easily and then dry to a secure, non-slip fit.

These weigh only 9g, which is significantly lighter than most lock-on grips that feature aluminum clamps and plastic cores. If you are building a lightweight race bike or trying to shave every possible gram, this is one of the most effective contact-point upgrades you can make.

The foam material offers excellent grip even when wet, as it tends to absorb moisture rather than becoming slick like some rubber compounds. However, because they are porous, they will take longer to dry out after a ride in the rain compared to non-absorbent grips.

While they are designed primarily for weight savings, the foam material is naturally vibration-dampening and offers a surprising amount of comfort. If you prefer a very thick, squishy grip, you might find these too firm, but they are excellent for riders who prioritize a direct, tactile feel.

Because they are a slip-on foam design, they are not intended for repeated removal. Once installed, they are best left in place; removing them often requires cutting them off, so be sure your cockpit setup is finalized before installation.
