No, the PA12 pedals feature in-mold pins integrated directly into the nylon composite body. While this design keeps the weight down and eliminates the risk of losing pins, it means you cannot swap them out if they wear down over time.

Because these are platform pedals with integrated pins, they are designed to work with almost any flat-soled shoe. For the best grip and power transfer, we recommend wearing shoes with a rubber sole, like skate shoes or dedicated mountain bike flat-pedal shoes.

The reinforced nylon composite body and in-mold pins provide decent traction in most conditions. However, because the pins are molded into the body rather than being aggressive metal studs, they may offer slightly less grip in extremely slick or muddy environments compared to high-end alloy pedals with steel pins.

The PA12 pedals use a standard 9/16-inch spindle thread, which is the industry standard for almost all modern mountain, hybrid, and commuter bikes. They will fit the vast majority of crank arms on the market today.
