Shimano XTR SL-MT800 Dropper Seatpost Lever

The SL-MT800 is compatible with most cable-actuated dropper posts that use a standard cable-head attachment. Because it features a 7mm cable stroke, it works well with the vast majority of mechanical posts on the market.

I-SPEC EV is Shimano's integrated mounting standard that allows you to attach your dropper lever directly to your brake lever clamp. This creates a cleaner, less cluttered handlebar setup and allows for more precise positioning of the lever relative to your grip.

Because this lever is designed specifically for the I-SPEC EV standard, it is intended to mount to compatible Shimano brake levers. If you are running a different brake system, you will likely need a separate handlebar clamp adapter, which is not included with this specific part.

The SL-MT800 uses a high-quality bearing pivot that makes the lever feel exceptionally smooth and light. It requires very little thumb pressure to activate, which makes it much easier to drop your post quickly in technical trail sections.

Installation is straightforward if you are comfortable with basic cable routing and tensioning. Since it integrates with your brake clamp, you will need to briefly remove your brake lever to slide the dropper remote into place.
