Natural mohair is highly breathable and naturally soft, which significantly reduces the friction that causes chafing and hair loss. Unlike synthetic alternatives, it remains pliable even in cold weather and wicks moisture away from the horse's skin.

The 31-strand design allows the breastcollar to contour closely to the horse's chest without bunching. This specific strand count provides enough surface area to distribute pressure evenly, ensuring the gear stays secure while allowing for a full range of motion.

Because the fibers are undyed, they maintain their natural, neutral tone. While they may pick up some dust or dirt from the trail, they are durable and can be cleaned with a gentle brush or mild soap and water to maintain their appearance.

The three-inch width is a standard, versatile size designed to provide a broad base of support for most horses. It is wide enough to prevent digging into the chest during strenuous activity, yet not so bulky that it interferes with the horse's shoulder movement.

To keep the mohair in good condition, brush off dried sweat and dirt after each ride to prevent buildup. If it becomes heavily soiled, you can hand wash it with a mild, pH-neutral soap and hang it to air dry completely out of direct sunlight.
