The Turbulent Aero technology uses a staggered rim profile specifically designed to manage airflow in real-world conditions, not just in a wind tunnel. By pairing a 77mm front rim with an 88mm rear, the setup minimizes the 'sailing' effect often felt in crosswinds, resulting in more predictable and stable handling.

While optimized for time trials and triathlons, the build quality—including the reliable DT 240 hubs and asymmetrical rear rim for added stiffness—makes them durable enough for regular use. However, keep in mind that the deep 77mm/88mm profile is aggressive and will be most noticeable on flat or rolling terrain rather than steep, technical climbs.

The rims are tubeless-ready, but they are fully compatible with both tubeless and standard clincher tire setups. This gives you the flexibility to choose the tire configuration that best suits your specific race or training needs.

The asymmetrical design allows for more balanced spoke tension between the drive and non-drive sides of the wheel. This results in a stiffer, more responsive rear wheel that transfers power more efficiently when you put the hammer down.

These wheels use a 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear axle spacing with Centerlock disc brake compatibility, which is the current industry standard for most modern disc brake road and triathlon bikes. Always double-check your bike's frame specifications to confirm compatibility.
