Abus 420K/150HB230 U-Lock

The Abus 420K/150HB230 features a 14mm hardened steel shackle and a double-bolt locking mechanism, earning it a Sold Secure Gold rating. It is designed to offer high-level protection suitable for urban environments where theft risk is moderate to high.

The included USH bracket is designed to fit round frame tubes with a diameter between 24mm and 35mm. If your bike frame is non-standard, oval, or significantly thicker, this bracket may not be compatible.

Abus has specifically engineered this model with an improved design to minimize noise. While no lock is completely silent, the tighter tolerances in the mounting system significantly reduce the rattling often associated with U-locks during transit.

The internal dimensions of the shackle are 150mm by 230mm (approximately 5.9 by 9 inches). This provides enough clearance to secure your frame and one wheel to most standard bike racks or poles.

While the hardened steel construction makes it robust, it does add weight compared to lighter-duty locks. However, the included frame mounting bracket helps distribute that weight effectively, making it easier to transport than carrying it in a backpack.
