Salsa Swing Plates

These plates replace your existing derailleur hanger, allowing you to convert your frame to a single-speed drivetrain. They provide a secure, clean interface that helps you tension your chain properly without the need for a derailleur.

These are specifically designed for frames equipped with Salsa's proprietary Alternator Dropout system. They will not fit standard or universal dropouts.

You need to match the thread pitch to your specific thru-axle. These plates are available in M12 x 1.5 and M12 x 1.75, so check your axle's specifications or consult your bike's manual before ordering.

This kit includes the Swing Plate itself, which is the core component for the conversion. Depending on your specific setup, you may still need a compatible single-speed cog and spacer kit for your rear hub.

Using these Swing Plates offers a much cleaner, more minimalist look compared to a bolt-on chain tensioner. Because they integrate directly into the dropout system, they provide a more robust and mechanically efficient solution for tensioning your chain.
