The XXX-Firm rating is the stiffest option available for this fork. It is designed to provide significant resistance, preventing the fork from bottoming out during heavy impacts, high-speed landings, or for riders who prefer a very rigid, responsive front end for dirt jumping.

If you have experience with basic suspension maintenance and the correct tools—such as a cassette tool or socket for the top cap—you can likely perform this swap yourself. If you are uncomfortable opening your fork or lack the proper suspension grease and tools, it is safer to have a local shop handle the installation to avoid damaging the threads or seals.

Coil springs like this one are favored for their linear, consistent feel and low-maintenance reliability.
