This ball is specifically designed for outdoor surfaces like asphalt and concrete. While it will technically bounce on an indoor court, the rubber material is much harder and grippier than the composite leather balls typically used indoors, which can feel abrasive on hardwood floors.

The 28.5-inch size is the standard circumference for a size 6 basketball. This is the official size used for women's collegiate and professional play, and it is also the recommended size for youth players aged 12 to 14.

The nylon winding acts as an internal skeleton for the ball. It helps the rubber maintain its round shape over time and prevents it from warping or bulging, even after repeated impacts against rough outdoor surfaces.

The rubber material is moisture-resistant and durable enough to handle damp conditions better than leather or composite alternatives. However, to maximize the lifespan of the internal bladder and winding, it is still best practice to store the ball in a dry place when not in use.

Most rubber basketballs are shipped deflated to save on packaging space. You will likely need a standard ball pump with a needle to inflate it to your preferred pressure before your first game.
