While the Ironman is engineered for the specific aerodynamic and speed demands of long-distance racing, its OneStar compound and puncture protection make it durable enough for high-intensity training rides. However, its narrow 22C profile is optimized for speed rather than comfort, so keep that in mind if your training roads are particularly rough.

The tire is tubeless-ready, which is the recommended setup to fully leverage its low rolling resistance and puncture protection benefits. You can run it with an inner tube if necessary, but you will lose the specific performance advantages that come from eliminating tube friction.

The 22C width is a classic choice for aerodynamics, offering a very narrow profile that cuts through the wind effectively. Because it is narrower than modern 25C or 28C standards, you may notice a slightly harsher ride feel and less cornering grip on uneven surfaces.

The maximum pressure is 125 PSI. For optimal performance, we recommend adjusting your pressure based on your total system weight and road conditions, but never exceed this manufacturer limit.

The tire features a specialized rapid-seal liquid integrated into the construction, which is designed to handle small road debris effectively. While it provides a reliable layer of defense for racing, no tire is completely immune to flats, so always carry a backup plan for major punctures.
