Pinnacle Hookless Rear Wheel

The Pinnacle Hookless is optimized for tires between 32mm and 42mm. This range covers most modern gravel and cyclocross setups, providing the ideal balance of stability and traction for mixed-terrain riding.

While the wheel comes pre-taped and includes valves for a tubeless setup, it is compatible with standard clincher tires and tubes. However, running it tubeless is recommended to take full advantage of the low-pressure performance benefits.

The 2.8mm offset balances the spoke tension between the drive side and the non-drive side of the wheel. This creates a stiffer, more durable build that handles the lateral forces of gravel riding and cornering much better than a standard centered rim.

While it is engineered specifically for the rigors of gravel and cyclocross, it functions perfectly fine on pavement. Just keep in mind that it is optimized for wider tires, so it may feel less aerodynamic or responsive than a dedicated road-specific wheelset.

The hubs use high-quality Abec-5 bearings, which are known for their durability and smooth rolling. Routine maintenance involves keeping the hub shell clean and ensuring the freehub body is lubricated, but they are built to withstand the grit and debris common in off-road cycling.

The maximum recommended tire pressure for this wheel is 65 psi. Because this is a hookless rim design, it is critical to stay within this limit to ensure the tire bead remains securely seated.
