Standard bike lights often project a circular beam that can blind oncoming cyclists or drivers. The Kindbeam optics specifically shape the light to focus illumination on the road surface ahead of you, keeping the glare out of the eyes of others while still lighting your path.

The light is designed to be Blendr compatible, which is Trek's proprietary mounting system. While it offers a clean, integrated look on compatible stems and helmets, you should verify if your current setup supports Blendr mounts or if you will need an adapter.

With 450 lumens, this light is optimized for urban commuting and city riding where there is some ambient light. While it provides good visibility, it may not be powerful enough for high-speed riding on completely unlit, pitch-black trails or rural roads.

The daytime running modes use a specific flash pattern and intensity designed to make you visible to drivers during daylight hours. These modes are distinct from the steady night settings and are intended to be used whenever you are riding, regardless of the sun's position.

The system is USB rechargeable. You will need a Micro USB cable to charge the light, which is convenient for topping off the battery at your desk or home between rides.
