The 3C MaxxGrip compound is designed for maximum traction, meaning it is very soft and grippy. While it performs exceptionally well in wet and technical conditions, the rubber can harden slightly in freezing temperatures, which may reduce its overall grip compared to warmer conditions.

This tire is optimized for rims with an inner width of 30mm to 35mm. Using a rim within this range ensures the tire profile is supported correctly, which helps maintain stability and prevents the tire from squirming during hard cornering.

Yes, the EXO+ casing is specifically designed to balance weight and durability, making it a solid choice for aggressive trail and enduro riding. It offers significantly more puncture and sidewall protection than the standard EXO casing, though riders who frequently tackle sharp, jagged rock gardens may still prefer the heavier DoubleDown casing.

The Assegai is tubeless-ready and generally seats easily on most modern tubeless-compatible rims. Because it has a folding bead, you should be able to mount it with standard tire levers and a floor pump, though a tubeless booster or compressor can make the initial bead seating process much faster.
