The Basecamp is designed for speed. Because of its pop-in-place mechanism, you can have it fully assembled in under a minute, making it ideal for quick trips to the beach or park where you don't want to spend time wrestling with tent poles.

While it is spacious enough for two adults and children, the Basecamp is primarily an open-air day shelter. It lacks the full enclosure and weatherproofing of a traditional camping tent, so it is best suited for daytime outings rather than overnight excursions.

The Basecamp includes four built-in wind anchors to help keep it grounded. While it is stable in moderate breezes, it is an open-air structure, so it is wise to use the anchors every time to prevent it from shifting or lifting.

The floor is made of moisture-resistant fabric designed to keep you dry on grass or sand. While it is durable, it is not a heavy-duty tarp, so we recommend using a footprint or ground cloth underneath if you are setting up on particularly rough or rocky terrain.

When folded, the Basecamp measures 48 inches in length and weighs 15.5 lbs. It fits into an included shoulder bag, making it easy to carry, though you will want to account for that length when packing your vehicle.

Yes, the shelter features 3-1 adjustable zip windows. You can open them fully for maximum airflow or zip them up to create a more private, enclosed space for napping or changing.
