Unicore bonds the rope's core and sheath together. If the sheath is cut or damaged, it won't slide or bunch up, which allows you to safely rappel or climb past the damaged section in an emergency.

While it is exceptionally light, its primary design is for alpine and multi-pitch climbing where weight is the priority. If you are projecting sport routes with frequent falls, you will likely wear through this rope much faster than a thicker, dedicated sport rope.
