Because the board is volume-shifted, it is designed to be ridden shorter than your standard snowboard. You should generally size down 3-5 centimeters from your typical length to maintain the intended float and maneuverability without sacrificing stability.

With a flex rating of 7, this board is on the stiffer side and is best suited for intermediate to advanced riders. Beginners may find the responsive, powerful nature of the C3 camber and carbon bands less forgiving than a softer, more flexible board.

The C3 camber profile provides excellent edge hold and stability on its own, but it is paired with Magne-Traction edges for added security. This combination allows the board to bite into icy patches and variable snow conditions much more effectively than a standard camber profile.

While it excels in deep snow and backcountry terrain, the Free Spirit has a playful freestyle soul. It is capable of handling natural features, side hits, and landings, though it is not a dedicated park board designed for rails or technical jibbing.

The 76mm setback shifts your stance toward the tail, which naturally lifts the nose of the board in deep snow. This makes it significantly easier to keep the board afloat in powder without having to lean back and fatigue your legs.
