UltraCycle Cartridge Road Bike Brake Pads

These pads are designed for standard road bike rim brake systems. While they fit most modern road calipers, we recommend checking that your current setup uses cartridge-style holders before purchasing.

The all-weather compound is formulated to provide consistent friction in both dry and wet conditions. It helps prevent the sudden loss of stopping power often experienced when riding in rain or on damp roads.

Most brake pad inserts feature wear indicator lines or grooves. Once these grooves become shallow or disappear, the friction material is worn down and should be replaced to ensure safe stopping distance.

It is a straightforward process. You simply slide the old insert out of the aluminum cartridge body and slide the new one in, usually securing it with a small retaining screw or pin.

Cartridge pads offer better long-term value and convenience. Once the rubber wears out, you only need to replace the insert rather than the entire brake shoe assembly, which also helps keep your brake alignment consistent.
