While designed primarily for backcountry touring, the Rise Beyond is versatile enough for resort use on lighter days. However, its lightweight construction is optimized for climbing efficiency, so you may notice more chatter on hard-packed resort runs compared to a dedicated, heavier piste ski.

The 3D radius sidecut allows the ski to adapt its turn shape based on your speed and edge angle. It makes the ski feel agile and quick in tight, technical terrain at lower speeds, while remaining stable and predictable when you open it up for longer, faster turns.

The 96mm waist is a true 'quiver-of-one' width for touring. It provides enough surface area for solid flotation in soft snow and powder, yet remains narrow enough to hold an edge effectively on firm snow and icy skin tracks.

To maintain the lightweight performance of the Rise Beyond, we recommend pairing them with pin-tech touring bindings like the Marker Kingpin or Marker Alpinist. These options offer the best balance of weight savings for the ascent and reliable retention for the descent.

The tip rocker lifts the front of the ski, which helps it plane on top of deep snow rather than diving into it. This makes turn initiation much smoother and less fatiguing, especially when you are navigating variable backcountry conditions.
