Cervelo Aspero

The frame accommodates tires up to 40mm wide. This clearance is designed to balance the bike's aerodynamic efficiency with the traction needed for mixed-surface riding.

The bike is equipped with a Shimano GRX RX825 Di2 groupset, which is specifically engineered for off-road use. It provides consistent, precise shifting even when the drivetrain is covered in mud or dust, reducing the need for frequent cable adjustments.

The Aspero sits in a sweet spot between the two. Its geometry is aggressive enough for competitive gravel racing, offering responsive handling, but stable enough to remain comfortable and predictable during long, multi-hour rides.

While internal routing creates a clean aesthetic and protects cables from debris, it does add some complexity to maintenance. If you are comfortable performing your own mechanical work, you will need to be prepared for slightly more involved cable management compared to external systems.

The bike features hydraulic disc brakes, which provide excellent stopping power and modulation in all weather conditions. This is particularly beneficial on technical gravel descents where precise speed control is essential.

The Aspero is primarily designed as a performance gravel machine rather than a dedicated adventure or bikepacking rig. While it can handle light gear, it lacks the extensive mounting points found on dedicated touring frames.
