Microshift Bar End Shifter Set

These shifters are designed to be compatible with most standard 10-speed derailleurs. However, if you are using a non-standard or proprietary drivetrain system, the indexed mode may not align perfectly, though the friction mode will still allow you to shift across the full range.

Indexed mode provides the convenience of a 'click' for each gear, which is great for standard setups. Friction mode removes the indexing, allowing you to shift manually by feel; this is a lifesaver if your derailleur hanger gets bent or if you are using a drivetrain that doesn't perfectly match the shifter's indexing.

These are specifically designed for drop handlebars with bar-end plugs. They will not fit standard flat bars, which require trigger or thumb shifters.

Installation is straightforward if you are comfortable with basic cable routing and derailleur adjustment. You will need to remove your existing bar tape, insert the shifter body into the bar end, and secure it with the internal expander bolt before running your housing and cables.

Bar-end shifters are favored for touring and long-distance riding because they are mechanically simpler and easier to field-repair than complex integrated levers. They also keep your cockpit clean and are generally more durable in harsh, remote conditions.
