Yes. The Mode is certified to the NTA8776 Dutch e-bike standard, which is a more rigorous testing protocol than standard bicycle helmets, specifically designed to handle the higher speeds and impact forces associated with e-bikes.

The MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows for a sliding motion of 10 to 15mm in all directions. This helps reduce the rotational motion transferred to the brain during certain angled impacts, providing an extra layer of safety.

The Mode uses a hidden vent design that balances a sleek, urban aesthetic with functional airflow. While it isn't as airy as a dedicated road racing helmet, the internal channeling is engineered to keep you cool during typical city commutes.

ANGi is a specialized sensor that attaches to the helmet to detect crashes and alert your emergency contacts with your GPS coordinates. It is an optional add-on; the helmet is 'ANGi ready,' meaning it has a dedicated mount, but you will need to purchase the sensor separately if you want that feature.

The Mode comes in three shell sizes, and the integrated fit system allows for precise adjustments to the occipital base. We recommend measuring the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows to match it against our sizing chart (Small: 51-56cm, Medium: 55-59cm, Large: 58-62cm).

The helmet features integrated reflective decals designed to catch light from vehicle headlights. While it helps with visibility, we always recommend pairing it with active front and rear bike lights for maximum safety in low-light conditions.
