The 1817 gloves fit true to size, but because they use natural leather, they will stretch and conform to your unique hand shape over time. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing down for a snug, secure fit.

These are designed for a minimalist feel rather than heavy padding. While they offer excellent grip and protection against road vibration, they lack the thick gel inserts found in endurance-specific gloves, making them better suited for casual rides, commuting, or vintage-style cycling.

To keep the leather supple, avoid machine washing. If they get dirty, spot clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let them air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.

The crochet design is highly breathable, allowing significant airflow to keep your hands cool in warm weather. However, because the material is open-weave, they offer minimal protection against wind or cold, so they are best reserved for spring and summer riding.

Leather is naturally absorbent and provides a reliable grip even when slightly damp. As the gloves break in, the leather becomes more textured, which actually improves your hold on the handlebars over time.
