KCNC Road Bar Plugs

These plugs are designed to fit standard road bike handlebars. Because they use an o-ring expansion system rather than a bolt-tightened wedge, they are best suited for standard drop bars where the inner diameter is consistent with typical road bike specifications.

The double o-rings create a friction fit against the inner wall of your handlebar. This provides enough tension to hold the plug securely in place while riding, even on rougher road surfaces, without needing a permanent adhesive.

Yes, these are safe to use with carbon fiber handlebars. Because they rely on o-rings rather than a metal expansion bolt that exerts high pressure on the inside of the bar, there is no risk of cracking or damaging the carbon layup.

Like any anodized aluminum component, the finish is durable but can show signs of wear if the bike is frequently laid down on its side. However, the 6061 aluminum construction is robust and will maintain its color and structural integrity much longer than standard plastic plugs.

The set weighs 26 grams total. While this is slightly heavier than basic plastic end caps, it is a negligible trade-off for the added durability and the cleaner, more finished look they provide to your cockpit.
