These tires are optimized for urban environments, with a tread compound designed for 90% city riding and 10% touring. While they handle light, well-maintained paths comfortably, they are not intended for loose gravel or technical off-road trails.

While the integrated liner and sealant are designed to handle most common punctures, it is always smart to carry a spare tube or a patch kit for emergencies. However, you will find yourself needing them far less frequently than with a standard tube-type tire.

Running lower pressure allows the tire to conform better to the road surface, which absorbs small bumps and vibrations before they reach your handlebars. This results in a noticeably smoother, more comfortable ride, especially on rough city pavement.

The Crosscut Metro ERT is designed for 700c wheels, but you should verify that your specific rims are tubeless-compatible or can be converted to a tubeless setup. If your rims are not tubeless-ready, you may not be able to utilize the full benefits of the ERT system.
