Unlike traditional telescopic suspension posts that can feel mushy or add significant weight, the Ergon CF Allroad uses a dual-leaf spring construction. This allows for a subtle, floating movement that absorbs road chatter and impacts while maintaining a consistent saddle angle, ensuring your pedaling efficiency remains unaffected.

The Ergon CF Allroad Pro Carbon is designed specifically for frames that accept a 27.2 mm diameter seatpost. If your bike uses a different diameter, you would need a shim, though we generally recommend using a post that matches your frame's seat tube size directly for the best fit.

Because this post has a 0 mm offset, it may change your saddle position if you are currently using a setback post. You may need to adjust your saddle rails forward or backward to replicate your previous fit, but the parallel displacement design ensures the saddle angle stays stable throughout the suspension travel.

While it is excellent for road, all-road, and gravel riding, it is not intended for aggressive mountain biking or technical trail use. It is engineered to smooth out vibrations on rough pavement and gravel roads rather than handle the high-impact forces of mountain bike trails.

Like any carbon component, you should use a torque wrench during installation to ensure you do not exceed the recommended tightening specs. Beyond that, it requires no special maintenance, though it is good practice to occasionally clean the leaf spring area to prevent grit buildup.
