RockShox Boxxer Air Spring Upgrade Kit

This kit is designed specifically for 2011 through 2015 RockShox BoXXer forks with 35mm stanchions. It will not fit newer models or forks outside of this production range.

Converting to an air spring significantly reduces the overall weight of your fork compared to a traditional steel coil. It also allows for much easier tunability, as you can adjust the spring rate simply by changing the air pressure to match your specific weight and riding style.

The kit includes the replacement left upper tube and the necessary air spring internals. Please ensure you have the appropriate suspension oil and standard shop tools required for a full fork service before beginning the installation.

If you are comfortable performing a standard lower leg service or a full fork rebuild, this upgrade is straightforward. However, if you lack experience with suspension internals, we recommend having a professional mechanic perform the installation to ensure the seals are seated correctly and the fork functions safely.

An air spring offers a more progressive feel, meaning the fork becomes firmer as it moves deeper into its travel, which helps prevent bottoming out. While coil springs are known for their linear, supple feel, this air upgrade provides a modern, adjustable platform that can be dialed in for a wider variety of terrain.
