An angled eyepiece is generally more comfortable for extended periods of observation, especially when sharing the scope with others of different heights. It allows you to use a shorter tripod and is often preferred for birdwatching or stargazing where you might be looking upward for long stretches.

The 86mm objective lens is quite large, which allows significantly more light to enter the scope compared to standard 60mm or 65mm models. This results in a brighter, clearer image during dawn or dusk, when wildlife is most active.

The close focus distance for this model is 26.2 feet. While it is excellent for long-range wildlife and birding, it is not designed for macro-level observation of subjects closer than that distance.

At 73.5 ounces, this is a substantial piece of equipment. It is best suited for scenarios where you are setting up a stationary observation point rather than hiking long distances, as you will want a sturdy, heavy-duty tripod to support its weight and size.

The ESP Dielectric Coating is applied to the prisms to ensure that nearly all light is reflected through the system. This maximizes brightness and ensures the colors you see through the eyepiece are accurate and true-to-life.
