Copper Rain Gauge

The gauge uses a floating internal tube that rises as water fills the base. This design makes it easy to read the rainfall levels from a distance without needing to peer directly into the container.

While the copper and steel materials are durable, it is best to remove the gauge during freezing temperatures. Water trapped inside the tube can expand when it freezes, potentially causing the polycarbonate components to crack.

The brushed copper will naturally develop a patina over time when exposed to the elements, which many gardeners prefer for its rustic aesthetic. If you prefer to keep it shiny, you can occasionally use a copper polish, but it is not required for the gauge to function properly.

This rain gauge has a total capacity of 5.5 inches. If you live in an area prone to heavy downpours, you will need to empty the gauge after it reaches this limit to ensure accurate readings for the next event.

The mounted version comes with the necessary hardware for secure attachment to surfaces like fences or posts. The tabletop and garden stake versions are designed for immediate placement without the need for additional tools.
