Birdseye Maple Breadboard

Birdseye maple is a rare natural phenomenon occurring in roughly one out of every 500 hard maple trees. It features small, swirling circular patterns that resemble eyes, providing a unique aesthetic that is significantly more rare than standard straight-grain maple.

Each board is crafted from a single, solid piece of birdseye maple. This one-piece construction eliminates the risk of glue-line separation and provides a more uniform, seamless surface.

Hard maple is an industry standard for cutting boards because it is dense enough to resist deep knife scarring while remaining gentle enough to keep your blades sharp. The smooth, lustrous finish is designed to withstand regular kitchen use.

Hard maple is naturally resistant to moisture absorption, which helps prevent warping and bacterial growth. To maintain the finish, simply hand wash with mild soap and occasionally apply a food-safe mineral oil to keep the wood hydrated.
