Because this is a powerful snap trap, it should never be placed in areas accessible to children or pets. We recommend using it inside a tamper-resistant bait station or in secluded areas like behind appliances, inside cabinets, or in attics where pests travel but family members cannot reach.

Rats are often attracted to high-protein or high-fat foods. A small amount of peanut butter, bacon, or dried fruit placed in the bait cup generally works best to lure them onto the trigger.

The T-Rex trap is designed to be set by hand or foot. Simply press the back of the trap down until it clicks into the locked position, ensuring your fingers are kept well away from the strike bar during the process.

While it is durable enough for outdoor use, it is most effective when placed in a sheltered, dry location. Exposure to rain or extreme moisture can degrade the mechanism or wash away your bait, so placing it inside a protective station is recommended for outdoor settings.

The T-Rex trap features a quick-release mechanism that allows you to dispose of the rodent without touching it. Simply hold the trap over a waste receptacle and press the back lever to release the strike bar.
