Yes, the Respite rug is constructed from 100% polyester, which is naturally resistant to moisture and fading. It is designed to withstand outdoor conditions on porches or patios while remaining soft enough for indoor living spaces.

Because it is made of durable polyester, you can spot clean the rug with mild soap and water. For outdoor use, it can also be rinsed with a garden hose and air-dried.

The fringe is part of the hand-woven construction and adds to the rug's farmhouse aesthetic. While it is durable, we recommend vacuuming carefully around the edges to keep the fringe looking neat and preventing it from getting caught in a vacuum beater bar.

We recommend using a rug pad, especially if you are placing it on a hard surface like hardwood or tile. A pad will prevent slipping, add a bit of extra cushioning to the 0.33-inch pile, and help protect your flooring.
