Unlike a compressor that reacts to the signal's volume level, the Transient Designer processes audio based on its dynamic envelope. This means it shapes the attack and sustain of a sound regardless of whether the input signal is loud or quiet.

Yes, the 4-channel design makes it versatile enough to handle individual drum hits, percussion, or even full stereo mixes. You can use it to tighten up a snare or add punch to a complete drum bus.

Because it focuses on the envelope rather than gain reduction, it does not act as a traditional leveler. You may need to adjust your output gain or follow it with a limiter if you are significantly increasing the sustain of a signal.
