The 0.1 micron absolute filtration is small enough to physically remove 99.99999% of bacteria, 99.9999% of protozoa, and 100% of microplastics. It does not, however, remove viruses or dissolved chemicals like heavy metals.

Yes, the filter is designed to be spliced into the drinking tube of most standard hydration packs. This allows you to drink directly from your pack's reservoir while the water is filtered in-line.

You will notice a significant decrease in the flow rate when the filter is clogged with sediment. You can restore the flow by backwashing the filter using the included syringe to clear out trapped debris.

The filter is compatible with most standard 28mm threaded water bottles, such as those used for common disposable plastic water bottles. It will not fit wide-mouth bottles without an additional adapter.

While 100,000 gallons is a laboratory-tested capacity, your real-world lifespan depends on the turbidity of the water you filter. If you regularly filter silty or muddy water, you will need to backwash frequently to maintain the filter's performance over time.
