The structure does not include an integrated base, so you will need to install it on a level, solid surface. A concrete pad, paver patio, or a pressure-treated wood frame foundation are all suitable options to ensure stability and proper drainage.

The two roof vents are equipped with heat-sensitive openers that automatically expand as the temperature rises, pushing the vents open without the need for electricity. As the greenhouse cools, the mechanism contracts to close the vents, helping you maintain a consistent environment for your plants.

The greenhouse is constructed from premium cedar, which is naturally resistant to decay and insects. While it comes unfinished, applying a high-quality exterior wood stain or sealer is recommended to preserve the wood's color and extend its lifespan against the elements.

The greenhouse features 6-foot high sidewalls, providing ample vertical space for taller plants. It includes integrated shelving—a 16-inch wide lower shelf and an 8-inch wide upper shelf—which maximizes your planting area while keeping the central floor space open for walking and maintenance.

The structure is built with durable cedar and double-wall polycarbonate, designed to handle standard seasonal weather. However, it is not rated for extreme snow loads or hurricane-force winds, so you should clear heavy snow accumulation from the roof promptly during winter months.

Assembly is designed to be manageable for DIYers, as all components come pre-cut and pre-drilled. While the process is straightforward, it is a significant project that requires at least two people and basic tools, so plan for a full weekend to complete the build.
