The Grey XH600V surface is specifically designed to improve contrast and black levels, making it a strong choice for rooms that aren't pitch black. While it helps manage moderate ambient light better than a standard white screen, it is not a dedicated ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen, so you will still get the best results by controlling light sources near the screen.

Tab-tensioning uses a system of strings and tabs along the sides of the screen to pull the fabric taut. This prevents the edges from curling over time and ensures the surface remains perfectly flat, which is essential for avoiding image distortion.

Because this is a motorized unit designed for below-ceiling mounting, installation involves electrical wiring and secure mounting to the ceiling structure. Unless you have experience with motorized screen installation and electrical work, we recommend hiring a professional to ensure it is mounted safely and leveled correctly.

The 16:10 aspect ratio is slightly taller than the standard 16:9 widescreen format used for most movies and television. You can certainly watch 16:9 content on this screen, but you will see thin black bars at the top and bottom of the image.

The Acumen V is engineered for quiet operation, meaning the motor noise is minimal and should not be a distraction during presentations or movies. It is designed to be unobtrusive, though you will hear a soft mechanical hum while the screen is extending or retracting.
