Zhu Ni is a high-shrinkage, iron-rich clay known for its high density and fine porosity. It is particularly well-suited for high-aroma teas like Oolong or Dan Cong, as it tends to retain heat well and enhances the fragrance profile of the leaves.

The 'Beauty's Shoulder' shape features a wide, rounded body that provides ample space for tea leaves to unfurl fully. This design promotes better water circulation, ensuring an even extraction during the steeping process.

Rinse the teapot with hot water only; avoid using soap, as the porous clay can absorb scents and chemicals. After use, discard the leaves and rinse the pot thoroughly, allowing it to air dry completely with the lid off.

While the intricate phoenix carving makes it a beautiful display piece, it is fully functional and designed for regular tea ceremonies. Over time, the Zhu Ni clay will develop a beautiful patina, or 'seasoning,' as it absorbs the oils from the tea you brew.
