This bed is designed to fit a standard Eastern King mattress. Because it features a spindle-style frame, it provides a sturdy foundation, though you will still need a box spring or a low-profile bunkie board to support your mattress properly.

The bed sits on traditional legs, providing enough clearance for standard under-bed storage bins. While the exact height can vary slightly due to the hand-carved nature of the mahogany, you can expect roughly 6 to 8 inches of space beneath the side rails.

The finish is a hand-rubbed black, which allows the natural texture and grain of the solid mahogany to remain visible. This technique creates a matte, sophisticated look rather than a flat, opaque lacquer.

The intricate spindle work does collect dust more easily than a flat headboard. We recommend using a soft microfiber cloth or a duster with an extendable handle to reach between the carvings during your regular cleaning routine.
