MK Cherry MX Springs

These springs are designed specifically for Cherry MX-style switches. They are compatible with most standard MX-style housings, including those from Gateron and Cherry, but they will not fit low-profile, optical, or non-MX style switches.

A 100g bottom-out weight is significantly heavier than the standard switches found in most pre-built keyboards, which typically bottom out between 55g and 65g. You can expect a much firmer, more deliberate keystroke that provides substantial resistance, similar to the feel of Cherry MX Gray switches.

While these springs primarily affect the weight and resistance of the keystroke, they start at 40g. Because they are stiffer than stock springs, you may notice a slightly faster return speed, but the actual electrical actuation point of your switch remains determined by the switch stem and housing design.

While these premium stainless steel springs are high quality, we recommend lightly lubricating them with a switch-specific grease during installation. This helps eliminate potential spring ping or metallic resonance, ensuring a smoother and quieter typing experience.

Swapping springs requires you to open your switch housings, which necessitates a switch opener tool and a steady hand. If you are comfortable disassembling your switches, the process is straightforward, but it is a time-intensive task that requires patience.
