DALI SONIK Loudspeaker

The SONIK 9 serves as the successor to the OBERON series, featuring significant upgrades in driver technology and cabinet construction. It incorporates DALI’s advanced SMC magnet system and a hybrid tweeter module to provide greater clarity and lower distortion than its predecessor.

The hybrid system combines a 29mm soft-dome tweeter with a 17x45mm planar magnetostatic tweeter. This pairing allows the speaker to handle high frequencies with exceptional detail and wider dispersion, ensuring a more immersive soundstage throughout your room.

While the SONIK 9 is designed to excel in large rooms due to its powerful triple 7-inch woofer configuration, it can work in medium-sized spaces if you have enough room to pull them away from the walls. Because of their size and bass output, they perform best when given enough breathing room to prevent the low end from becoming overwhelming.

The SONIK 9 has an impedance of 4 ohms, which means it requires an amplifier capable of handling a 4-ohm load effectively. To get the best performance and control from the three 7-inch woofers, we recommend using a high-quality amplifier with a stable power supply.

By isolating each of the three 7-inch woofers in its own internal chamber, DALI prevents the drivers from interfering with one another. This design ensures that each woofer operates with maximum precision, resulting in cleaner, more controlled bass response.

SMC, or Soft Magnetic Compound, is a specialized material used in the magnet motor system to significantly reduce mechanical distortion. It helps the speaker produce a much more realistic and transparent midrange, allowing vocals and instruments to sound more natural.
