Muji Waffle Bath Towel

New cotton towels often have a slight residue from the manufacturing process that can repel water. Washing it once helps remove these fibers and opens up the waffle weave, ensuring the towel is fully absorbent from the start.

The waffle weave creates a larger surface area with more airflow between the fibers. This allows moisture to evaporate much faster than the dense loops of a traditional terry towel, making it an excellent choice for humid bathrooms.

This is a lightweight, airy towel. While it is very comfortable and soft against the skin, it lacks the heavy, bulky feel of a plush spa towel, focusing instead on breathability and quick-drying functionality.

To keep the fabric looking its best, gently shake and reshape the towel while it is still damp before hanging it to dry. This prevents the waffle pattern from bunching up and helps the towel maintain its original dimensions.

It is common for high-quality cotton dyes to release some excess color during the initial wash cycles. We recommend washing the towel separately to prevent any potential color transfer to your other laundry.
