Hickory is the gold standard for tool handles because of its exceptional shock absorption and strength-to-weight ratio. It flexes slightly under impact rather than snapping, which makes it ideal for heavy-duty gardening tasks like chopping or pruning.

These handles are sized based on the total length of your tool. For a 32-inch lopper, you need the 26-inch handle; for a 30-inch lopper, choose the 24-inch handle; and for a 26-inch lopper, select the 20-inch handle.

While primarily designed as a replacement for pruning tools, the hickory construction is durable enough for use with axes. However, always verify the mounting style and dimensions of your specific tool head before purchasing to ensure a secure fit.

These handles arrive as raw wood, which is standard for high-quality replacement parts. We recommend applying a light coat of boiled linseed oil before installation to protect the wood from moisture and prevent it from drying out over time.
