The pillow is designed as a single unit, meaning the cover is not removable. However, because the entire pillow is machine washable on a gentle cycle, you can easily clean the whole piece without needing to take it apart.

The polypropylene material is remarkably resilient and can be cleaned with bleach if necessary. For general maintenance, a gentle machine wash cycle followed by air drying is sufficient to keep the fabric looking fresh.

While polypropylene is a synthetic fiber chosen for its durability and stain resistance, it has a textured weave that feels substantial rather than plasticky. It is comfortable enough for lounging, though it has a slightly firmer, more structured hand-feel than cotton or linen.
