Yes, the horse hair bristles are heat-resistant and safe for use in the oven. However, avoid leaving the brush inside the oven for extended periods to protect the birch wood handle.

For dry flour, simply tap the brush against the edge of your counter or use a gentle flicking motion to dislodge particles. If you use it for wet basting, hand wash the bristles with mild soap and water, then hang to dry with the bristles facing down.

The horse hair is firm enough to effectively sweep excess flour off dough or work surfaces, but it remains soft enough to avoid damaging delicate proofed loaves.

As with any natural fiber brush, you may experience minor shedding when the item is brand new. This will subside quickly with regular use.

Store the brush in a dry place, preferably hanging by the handle or lying flat. Avoid soaking the birch wood in water, as prolonged moisture can cause the natural wood to warp or crack.
