Ratio Six Coffee Maker

The machine mimics a barista's technique by automating the bloom and brew phases. It controls the water flow through a stainless steel shower head to ensure even saturation of the grounds, which helps extract a more balanced flavor profile than standard drip machines.

The Ratio Six can brew up to 1.25 liters, or 40 ounces, of coffee in a single cycle. This is equivalent to about 8 standard cups, making it suitable for both daily personal use and serving guests.

The water tank is fixed to the machine, but it is designed for easy access. You can fill it directly using the carafe or a separate pitcher, and the clear markings make it simple to measure exactly how much water you need for your brew.

The Ratio Six uses standard flat-bottom basket filters, which are widely available. You can use high-quality paper filters for a cleaner cup or a reusable metal filter if you prefer more body and oils in your coffee.

Because the machine uses laboratory-grade borosilicate glass for its water lines, it resists buildup better than plastic tubing. To maintain performance, we recommend running a descaling solution through the machine every few months, depending on the hardness of your local water.

The machine is designed to brew coffee at the ideal extraction temperature, but it does not have a traditional hot plate that stays on indefinitely. This prevents the coffee from 'cooking' and becoming bitter, ensuring the last cup tastes as fresh as the first.
